Valencia Aged Care Home provides high quality aged care services, including high care and support for residents with Dementia.

The senior nursing staff and support workers are regularly trained to provide distinguished services to residents, taking into account the complex and diverse needs of each individual and personalising services to cater for those needs.

The operations of Valencia Aged Care are closely monitored by external health consultants. It complies with mandatory regulations made by the Department of Health and the Shire of Kalamunda WA.

Kalamunda is a small Eastern Suburb in the Perth Hills, known for its tranquil and scenic surroundings. At 300m above sea level, Kalamunda and the surrounding areas experience colder day and night temperatures than the majority of the Perth Metropolitan areas. Additionally, the valleys of stone fruits, apples and pears, wineries and rose farms add to its unique repose.

Kalamunda provides an ideal environment to spend the late years of life in comfort and serenity. The unique country-like experience adds to the opulent lifestyle at Valencia Aged Care Home.

Fees and Charges

Your fees and charges will be based on the outcome of the financial assessment that you have submitted to Centrelink or DVA prior to your entry into aged care. Further information is available on the My Aged Care website www.myagedcare.gov.au

Basic Daily Care Fee - Payable by all aged care recipients

The maximum daily care fee is payable by all residents in aged care and equates to 85% of the Australian single age pension. The basic daily fee is set by the Australian Government and increases on the 20th of March and September every year. For some people this is the only fee they are required to pay.

Daily Accommodation Contribution (DAC) - Subject to financial assessment outcome

The resident pays the required amount direct to the aged care provider which reduces the amount of care subsidy paid from the government to the provider. This fee is subject to quarterly reviews. The DAC can be paid as a RAC (Refundable Accommodation Contribution).

Means Tested Fee - Subject to financial assessment outcome

This fee is dependent on the financial assessment outcome and subject to quarterly reviews.

Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) - Subject to financial assessment outcome

This is a charge set by the facility and is for the accommodation payment for the room that you have agreed to enter. The RAD can be paid as a lump sum or part lump sum and a daily payment (DAP). Lump sums paid are fully refundable.
